Spring in NY brings Lightning Storms...A shot from last night and some of my best Lightning shots..

Last night in New York there was a pretty bad passing thunderstorm along with some beautiful Lightning. This time of year is the beginning of the storm season which brings great opportunities for capturing lightning shots.
Almost every apartment that I have lived in, in NY has had a view of the Empire State Building which if you didn't know is a lightning rod. One of the purposes of the tower on top of the ESB is that is also absorbs lightning hits when there is lightning.

I got this shot last night...

I am showing you a few shots that I got over the years with a link to see many more of these amazing shots...enjoy.

Mumbai, Goa and the Caves of Aurangabad, India...

I just traveled to Mumbai, Aurangabad and Goa. Having been to India and seeing the "Golden Triangle", (Agra, New Delhi and Jaipur) back in 2009 I knew what to expect from India...but I was still surprised at what I saw.
Mumbai was probably the busiest place I have ever been. Traffic and people everywhere, dogs on the streets, horns blowing-reminded me of NY in the 70's but way more crowded. The trains in the morning were unbelievable with the amount of people getting on and getting off of the trains.

MUMBAI PHOTOS...

I flew to Aurangabad for a day to see the Caves of Ajanta and Ellora, totally worth the day trip. The local airlines were so easy to deal with and the Mumbai airport was more crowded at 5:30 AM than JFK at it's peak! If you get to Mumbai you should try and take the hour flight to see the caves, they were incredible.

AJANTA AND ELLORA CAVE PHOTOS...

Goa was so so hot but it was supposed to be, 3 showers a day just isn't enough. It was much larger an area than I expected. North to South Goa takes lots of driving or buses to get there. Old Goa and the churches were nice. It is a huge destination for Russian tourists too which I was unaware of. All of the signs are in Russian and English.

PS-here are photos of the "Mini Taj Mahal" in Aurangabad...

Affordable Art Fair, NY...April 3-7th..2 BOOTHS

The Affordable Art Fair Spring Edition is in NY from April 3-7th at the Metropolitan Pavilion located at 125 West 18th Street. It is always a really good show to go to an personally I absolutely love the Pavilion space.

This year I will be represented there by 2 separate Galleries.
First I will be represented by ArtStar in Booth F2. Chrissy Crawford and her great team will be showing about 4 of my pieces. We had great success at the AD Home show last week and we are expecting even better success at the AAF show.

The 2nd Gallery to represent my new work is Joy Wai Gallery. They are located right across the street from the show at 122 West 18th Street. Joy hired a whole new sales staff for the show and they are well prepared. They are showcasing my series "New York Sliced". My Empire State Building and Flatiron Building will be on display in 24" x 36" Plexiglas.
