Uploading My Photos at Frommer's Photo Contest...

Frommer's has this very cool contest that anyone can enter as many photos as they want to and if your photo is picked to be on the cover of one of their books you can win $5,000. I just entered about 25 photos and have not really started to look seriously through all of the places I have traveled, this could take me a full week to do.

A Day in Dumbo....

Today I went Gallery hopping to drop off Postcards and introduce myself to many of the Galleries that are participating in the Dumbo 1st Thursday Gallery Walk. Made a few connections with the owners and submitted work to at least 3 Galleries today and going back next week for another appointment with a 4th.
So looking forward to the Baco Cafe opening on February 4th. Hope to see you there.

I am working with an interior designer at the Plaza Hotel...

1608 at the Plaza Residences. I am working with a great interior designer, Hadas Dembo. I am very excited to be working with her and expect much more work to come out of this job.

A new show starting in February at Yaffe Ruden Galleries...

Yafee Ruden Galleries is a unique kind of artist exhibit to say the least. It is at a very successfull private medical practice, gastroenterology, phobia treatment, nutrition, bone density, physical therapy specialists. Every year they pick 2 different artists to be showcased on one of their many walls of art but it is considered a Solo Show because of the amount of wall space given to each of the two artists. I should have about 12 different Photos on display there for about a year. The show will have an Opening reception on Tuesday February 9th, 2010 from 7:30-9:00, all are welcome. Yaffe Ruden are located at 201 East 65th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues in Manhattan. The show is open Monday-Friday starting on February 10th from 9:00-5:00.

Total Side Note...

I bought myself the Polaroid POGO which prints instant (60 seconds) photos. This thing is damn cool. I can see how you can use this in so many fun ways. Just a heads up and Radio Shack had it on sale for 1/2 price like $30 and I bought 30 more sheets of paper for another $10. Worth a shot if you want to use it for parties or anything of that sort.

Baco Cafe at 71 Jay Street in Dumbo...

I now have 14 pieces hanging on their walls and will have an opening probably on February 4th. Moti the owner hung all the pieces on Friday, I have my price list ready and will be sending out an email inviting everyone probably the 1st week after New Years. http://www.bacocafe.com/ is where it will be and you have to see some of my new photos I took on Friday at the NY Public Library Main Reading Room, they look great. Some HDR shots, some Multiple Exposures and also of Grand Central.

So I had the opportunity to shoot at the NY Public Library and Grand Central...

I signed up and hooked up big time and shot the NY Public Library Main reading room before it opened this morning and got some amazing shots. Some great HDR's, some Multiple Exposures and just photos with noboby in the room-ahhhhh, amazing! Then I went to Grand Central with my Tripod which I also got permission to do. It will take me all day tomorrow just to go through them but I know I also got some great shots. I rented a fisheye lens from Adorama for the day which was a very good idea if I say so myself.
Wait and see the Photos once I post them.
