Lobby of 211 East 43rd Street....

I recently was asked to present photos for a job to install in the Lobby located at 211 East 43rd Street in New York. The photos that the Managing agent chose were a group of Grand Central Terminal shots.
The 4 shots on the side wall are 4 Feet by 6 Feet and were taken when I did a behind the scenes tour of Grand Central. The larger single photo is 6 Feet by 9 Feet and was taken at dusk.

Below are photos showing before and after.

"Tribeca Tap House" - Restaurant/Bar Photo Shoot..

I had the pleasure of photographing the Tribeca Tap House a couple of weeks ago with Nick, great place, nice guy. I ended up shooting the upstairs bar and the downstairs dining room. So if you're in Tribeca looking for a sports bar or some good food ask for Nick.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Located on bustling Greenwich Street in the heart of Tribeca, Tribeca Taphouse features a large variety of tap beers, a delectable New American menu, and of course delic-ious cocktails! We are the perfect spot to catch your favorite team in action or to enjoy mouth watering food, titillating libations, and great company. Tribeca Tap House is serving drinks, lunch and dinner 7 days a week in addition to brunch on the weekend.

Address: 363 Greenwich (Between Harrison and Franklin Streets)

Sun Halo today in New York City...

Today in New York was an amazing Sun Halo which is very unusual to see.

******JUST A KICKER...PETAPIXEL RAN THE STORY TODAY WITH THESE PHOTOS*****
http://petapixel.com/2013/05/14/photos-of-the-beautiful-sun-halo-that-appeared-over-new-york-today/

Here is the meaning...
What makes a halo around the sun or moon?

Halos around the moon – or sun – are a sign of thin cirrus clouds drifting high above our heads. They are a sign of nearby storms.

A ring or circle of light around the sun or moon is

called a halo by scientists. We get many messages

throughout each year from people who’ve just

spotted a ring around the sun or moon. The night

before Hurricane Sandy made landfall on the U.S.

mainland on October 29, 2012, for example, many

throughout the U.S. saw a lunar halo. Another rash of

lunar halos in the U.S. began to appear shortly before

Christmas 2012. Solar and lunar haloes are pretty

common, but they’re so mysterious-looking that

people often express amazement upon seeing them.

Spring in NY brings Lightning Storms...A shot from last night and some of my best Lightning shots..

Last night in New York there was a pretty bad passing thunderstorm along with some beautiful Lightning. This time of year is the beginning of the storm season which brings great opportunities for capturing lightning shots.
Almost every apartment that I have lived in, in NY has had a view of the Empire State Building which if you didn't know is a lightning rod. One of the purposes of the tower on top of the ESB is that is also absorbs lightning hits when there is lightning.

I got this shot last night...

I am showing you a few shots that I got over the years with a link to see many more of these amazing shots...enjoy.

In honor of Grand Central Terminal's 100th Anniversary...

This year is Grand Central Terminal's 100th Anniversary. In 2011 I had the pleasure of taking a "Behind the Scenes" tour of the Terminal. The gentleman who runs the tours, Daniel Brucker, does an amazing job of making it lots of fun. His exuberance and verve of every aspect of the building and it's secrets makes it an incredible eye opening experience.
I posted the photos on www.Behance.net, to see them you can just follow the link below...
